Hi there come on in set back pour yourself a cup of coffee and let me tell you a little about my life. I'll try not to be to boring and also try not to ramble. But life has been good to me for the most part I really don't have many complaints. I was born November the 10th 1942 in Lincoln county Kentucky.My father was born in 1894 and my mother in 1896. Yes I was a late in life child . But I don't feel that I missed out on anything. I consider myself lucky because I was raised with an old fashioned set of values. I am the son of a God fearing preacher man and I was brought up to live by the golden rule."DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU" . To day it seems to be do unto others before they do you. |
If you will bear with me we will be off on the journey from then to now. I was 2 years old when we moved to Indiana. I dont remember the trip north at all . The first thing I can really remember is the day World War 2 ended all the sirens going off and horns blowing .At the time I did not realize what was happening .But I can remember all the people being so excited.. The first thing I can really rember was living at Roane Indiana and the neighbor had a BIG bull that would get out and chase us kids. But he was scared of the bubbles we would blow at him. You remember blowing the bubbles with a little wand. Next we moved to Erie Indiana and there was where I was raised. It was the idea place to raise children. The school I went to only had about 50 children attending it , there was 5 in my graduating class from the 8th grade. From there I attended high school in Peru Indiana and it was a big school around 800 students in the four grades yes then it was 9th thru 12th. Let me tell you I, was scared silly, never saw so many kids in one place all my life . But I made it and graduated at least . I sure was not first in my class but i was not last either. After high school I worked at several small jobs,weekly news paper , basket factory,clothing factory, wood working factory.As well as in the log woods and also as a sawyer. My first real job was making Piston sleeves at a place called Sealed Power. I left there because of a change in my life style lol a divorce from my second wife. Let me say now that I have been married five times ,no I am not proud of the fact but every thing Ihave done I have done for my children that is another story that will probably never be told . There is only one person In my life that really needs to know about all that and she knows all about it. |
As you have figured out by now I love animals and I would like to dedicate this page to the best little horse ever born Friday .I showed him for several years and won many trophies with him, also to a Treeing Walker who I called Big John. He was the most honest dog I ever took to the woods. but due to having a new son and living alone . I let my nephew take him. |
Just a couple lines about my favorite cat he was just a plain old white tom cat who was my buddie the rascal would follow me like a dog . Now back to the job thing well in 1970 I went to work for the Dept. of Correction in Indiana and this month made me 30 years there now. Maybe some day I'll do a page about my experience in the prison system. |
