Jesus knew what was coming and if there was any other way he did not want to endure the pain and suffering.In Matthew 26:39 Jesus prayed "O my Father,If it be possible, let this cup pass from me:nevertheless, not as I will but as thou wilt."

Finding his disciples asleep again he went to pray" O my Father,If this cup may not pass away from me,except I drink it thy will be done.

Again he found his disciples asleep he returned again and prayed the same prayer.

Next we find Judas coming with a great multitude of people and betraying his Savior with a kiss.
One of the disciples took out his sword and smote an ear from a servant of the high priest.
At this Jesus told him to put up his sword and said."All I need to do is ask my Father and He would send twelve legions of angels.But the scriptures must be fulfilled, so it must be."


Next Jesus was taken to Caiaphas, the high priest where they tried to find some false witness. Finally they found two and at once they determined He should be put to death.
The next morning they took Jesus to Pontius Pilate. Pilate after much deliberation and listening to his wife, and seeing he could not control the crowd, took a pan of water and washed his hands saying"I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see you to it."

Then Joseph a follower of Jesust.asked Pilate if he could bury the body of Jesus in his own new tomb and it was done.
The chief Priest and the Pharisess came and begged Pilate to put a guard on the tomb for three days.
But all they done was to no avail. Because an angel of the Lord came and rolled the stone away.So when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb , they found Jesus had rose from the dead just as he said he would.
Jesus was crucified on the hill of Golgotha between two thieves. In the ninth hour Jesus cried out"My God MY God why has thou forsaken me." When Jesus gave up the ghost there was a great earthquake,the saints that had been long dead arose,the veil of the temple was rent top to bottom. Upon seeing this the people ,that were still there, realized they had just crucified the SON OF GOD.

My friends just keep in mind this Easter that JESUS  died for all of us so that we may have eternal life. Jesus did not really want to suffer and die but he was willing to do his Fathers will so that we could have an eternal life with Him.
