Hello once again come on in kick back put your feet up  and let me tell you about my horses ,well some of them at least.
First let me introduce you to Friday.
He was the first really great horse I owned.
Friday was born on Good Friday 1960 son of a pony mare and  a quarter horse stud.As it turned out he was really one of a kind. Back then we broke them to harness before we broke them to saddle as a result he was multi talanted, you could drive him to a cart or wagon as well as ride him.
Friday was one to not waste energy. While you were waiting to get started he was just as calm as he could be but when you gave him the go ahead he was wide open. Also after a contest he immediately calmed down. You could show him in a gaming class and turn right around and show him in a pleasure class.
We will only talk about one day of showing that way you can get an ideal what kind of horse he was.
We had been to a horse show in Central Indiana where we showed him and  a 7/8 Arabian Pinto mare called Princess in all the classes available and he had placed first or second in all classes, this included  halter pleasure ,horseman ship, polebending, barrell racing , flag racing ,speed and action. He also was a well built horse who placed well in halter classes.
We then loaded them up and drove about  two hours North where I entered him in a relay race with a good friend who had a small bay mare called Lady.Let me tell you those two little horses ran the legs off  the big running horses they were running against.
Just to give you a little incite to his personality when showing we slept in some strange places many is the time I have laied down in the stall with him and listened to the people walk by betting that he would step on me never in this world would he have hurt me.However every so often he just had to try to buck you off when he saw you were
about to lose your seat he would just stop and look at you  as much as if to say I could if I wanted to.
Friday has been gone now for several years but he will live on in my mind and heart forever. I know he is in the happy horse land.
Now here is the last great horse I owned he is a Grand son of KING
